Hello November!
Last month was extremely busy with lots of departures and arrivals - and they haven't finished yet! Autumn is always a really busy time as foals are weaned - so our own are off to their new homes and for us , it is time to welcome in the ones that we have bought.
Already we are planning ahead - for the foals of 2025, the coverings. It has been quite a year! Another steep learning curve (learning never ends - at any stage of life, career etc - it's all part of a healthy development!) - lots of surprises along the way. The market is ever changing - and hard, for buying and selling - so we all have to do our very best - to ensure that we are giving our very best as sellers/breeders. People are being very discerning about where they want to spend their money, more so than ever - so as breeders, we try to do our very best and we have already had some lovely feedback from clients this year. "Thank you for the whole process from start to finish, thank you for all the advice, for being there for me, thank you for all the updates .... ". We think that makes the difference - and also, when we are making purchases, that is important to us too.
The in hand showing season is coming to an end - with the Winter & Youngstock Welsh Show taking place shortly.
Some of our sport horses will continue to compete lightly over winter but now it is a time to batten down the hatches, concentrate on growing the youngsters and keeping everything ticking over!
